'Embracing the Total Quality Management Journey in the work place: How far is too far?' - Dr John Opute

Description: Every business organisation must respond to the challenges of the environment. The one that will survive is that organisation that makes continuous effort to provide the customer (internal and external) with a service that is different from and better than the competition. It demands the total involvement of everyone involved in the operation and this involvement is a continuous process.

The quest for quality is a global revolution affecting every facet of business and therefore the most significant factor in determining the long run success or failure of any organisation. Anyone who would like to gain greater understanding of how to sustain the total quality journey in the orgamisation as a mark of uncompromising standards and sustained/high achievement will find this lecture interesting.

By attending this event, you will:

  • Understand how to create the quality vision (journey) and demonstrate commitment.
  • Learn the new philosophy of the organisation/promote cooperation.
  • Appreciate how to stop making decisions purely on the basis of cost.
  • Pursue and institute relevant training/leadership
  • Drive out fear/eliminate numerical quotas.
  • Understand the inhibitors (‘deadly diseases’) that can distract the quality journey.
